Dentist

The Dutch word for dentist is 'tandarts'. A dentist can be found via the on-line yellow pages under the heading of dentist. Call the practice to ask whether they are accepting new patients (each practice has a maximum number of patients that they are allowed to see). Another option would be to contact your health insurance agency to request a list of practices that are accepting new patients.

In general, dental treatment is not covered by medical insurance, but you can purchase special dental coverage. Please ask your Tilburg University contact person about insurance that covers detal costs. A dentist will give an estimate of the costs during the first visit. Please note that you must pay the bill immediately after the consultation. You can pay using a bank card or in cash; paying by credit card is not possible.
