Hospitality
The student chaplaincy in Cobbenhagenlaan welcomes everyone. Over the course of the years, the student chaplaincy has become home to various student associations, including the Ichthus Christian Union, the Catholic Peerke Donders, Media Vita of the Faculty of Humanities, several Islamic student unions and student groups from Fontys University of Applied Sciences. Once a year, the Maranatha church is transformed into a major hub of activity for the student introduction week, TIK-week.
The student chaplaincy is an independent 'shelter' that provides a retreat for student groups to take time out from their busy student lives and relax and unwind. We also offer our facilities as a venue for lectures, symposia, meetings, music sessions, student festivities and prayer and reflection services. Student activities, however, remain our number one priority. The student chaplaincy is a hive or activity and a central meeting point for hundreds of students every year. Bringing people together is the cornerstone of our work.
Rooted in the Catholic tradition
In addition to the range of activities and services listed above, the student pastor is also available to offer students help and advice in personal matters. This could be anything from issues of faith and hope to love - in short, anything to do with life in general. The student pastor is someone who you can go to with your worries, fears, doubts and uncertainties and who is available to discuss your life goals, your faith and the driving forces in your life. We are in touch with the needs and concerns of today's students and we are not out to convert you. Call or e-mail for an appointment; you owe it to yourself to explore your true value as an individual.
Tilburg University's open Catholic identity is more than just a signature theme. It permeates all levels of the university community with the student chaplaincy playing a special role within this community and that of Fontys University of Applied Sciences. The chaplaincy can take on a special role in your life too.

English Holy Mass
Heikese kerk
Tilburg is an international city where Roman Catholics from many different origins have made their temporary or even permanent home.
In order to facilitate this international community there will be an English Holy Mass on every second Sunday of the month at 5:00 P.M. at the Saint Dionysius Church (‘t Heike) in the centre of town (opposite the Town Hall): Stadhuisstraat 6.
