Studying and Student life

Selected? Get ready!

Congratulations! You have been selected for an exchange at one of our partner universities.

When you are selected by Tilburg University for an exchange program, then you can get started on the preparations that are part and parcel of studying abroad. Don’t wait too long, because the expression 'haste makes waste' certainly applies here!

The steps you will need to take vary by destination. Together with the selection letter you will receive a pre-departure information package that applies to your case (destination and study situation in Tilburg) from the Study Abroad & Exchange Office. To officially accept your place in the Exchange Program, you are asked to return a signed copy of the Study Abroad Student Agreement (that will also be part of the Pre-departure information package).

Please note that the partner university that you have been selected for, cannot be changed anymore. If you do not want to go the selected destination, you should inform us that you won’t be accepting your place and you can apply again on the next deadline.

Practical matters such as arranging accommodation and estimating the cost of living are some things that every student will have to do if they are planning on going abroad. For some destinations you are also required to have vaccinations and to arrange a visa. To be better prepared for an intercultural experience, we have designed an Intercultural Awareness & Professional Skills Module.
