In the 1960s, traditional religion in Western culture entered a period of very rapid change. In fact, Western society as a whole was confronted with the questions of who we are and what we stand for. These questions are pivotal to Tilburg University’s theologians, religious scientists, cultural scientists and academics from other disciplines.

Gap closing beteen values in East and West Europe

Although the vast majority of Europeans claim to welcome European unification, very few Europeans actually feel European. There are still huge differences between the values in the various European regions. However, values in Central Europe in particular have been brought up-to-date, so the gap between the values in East and West Europe is steadily closing.
