In 2001 and 2002, my dissertation ?Towards International Personality: The Position of Minorities and Indigenous Peoples in International Law? received two prizes

2001: Max van der Stoel/School of Human Rights Research Award for the best dissertation in the field of Human Rights Law in the Netherlands

2002: Mr. J.C. Baak Award for the best book in the field of Public International Law

In 1997 my Master?s thesis titled ?Erkenning en veiligstelling van het recht van minderheden op eigen identiteit? has received an honourable mention of the François Award for publications in the field of Public International Law.
