ˇ Postdoctoral Fellow of the Committee on Social Thought and the John M. Olin Center for Inquiry into the Theory and Practice of Democracy, University of Chicago: Winter Quarter (Jan.- Mar.) 1999.

ˇ Postdoctoral Fellow of the Fund for Scientific Research - Flanders, from October 1998 to October 2001. Research project: "Moderniteit en onttovering: het filosofische debat over de secularisering in Duitsland tussen 1920 en 1975" (Modernity and Disenchantment: the Philosophical Debate on Secularization in Germany between 1920 and 1975).

ˇ Research Assistant of the Fund for Scientific Research - Flanders, from October 1994 to October 1998.
