I am a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics of Tilburg University and a guest researcher at CREED (Center for Research in Experimental Economics and Political Decision Making) at the University of Amsterdam. Previously, I was a post-doc at the CREED at the University of Amsterdam and an Assistant Professor at the University of Manchester. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from CentER Graduate School, at Tilburg University.
I am a behavioral economist interested in combining theory and experiments to study diverse topics. In one line of research, I study how to optimally design incentive schemes in competitive environments utilizing different instruments (monetary awards, relative performance rankings, information disclosure) to boost performance or spur innovation. I also have a narrowly defined interest in organizational economics focused on discrimination/inequality. In another line, I explore how to facilitate coordination and the drivers of cooperation in markets and social dilemma situations. In a related line, I study how to promote sustainable consumption using field experiments.
