Bio

I am an assistant professor at the department of Communication and Cognition, and Program Director of our Academic Teacher Training program (Universitaire Lerarenopleiding Tilburg, ULT)

I've always be interested in how people learn.  I love creating an educational environment in collaboration with schools to teach future teachers. I love doing research into how people learn. And I think I'm privileged to have a job in which I can keep on learning. 

 

Expertise

My research is aimed at different aspects of learning. I have been working on computer-supported collaborative learning and the role of visual representations in argumentation-based learning.

My current research is aimed at whether, and if so, how visualisations framed in different moralities can change a person's position on a topic. I have a special interest in learning about environmental issues.
