Further Info

My CV gives detailed information about me. I'll try to keep it updated. My website also gives info, and most of my publications can be downloaded there.

I am interested in the logic of ordinary language. We logicians study concepts such as truth, consequence, proof, computation and information with the help of formal languages, but it has increasingly become clear that many insights thus obtained also apply to the vernacular. My particular interest is in the question how linguistic expressions manage to carry meaning. A closely related interest is in the use of logic to model aspects of context and social interaction. At the moment I am leading an NWO-funded project called Towards Logics that Model Natural Reasoning.

I am in the Tilburg Center for Logic and Philosophy of Science, (or TiLPS). For more information, see my website and/or Google Scholar.
