Week without meat

National Week Without Meat

Date: Time: 00:00 Location: A kitchen of your choice. Sign up for tips and info on the week!

A week without consuming meat can already have some seriously positive environmental impacts. You can save the equivalent of 76 kilometers of driving, through reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, as well as saving about 130 liters of water consumption.

During the national meatless week, the Sustainability Factory encourages students and staff to consider the impact of an (extra) meatless day in their weekly diet. Regardless of your diet of choice, consciously considering your meat intake can make a huge difference.

Food producers, both here on campus as well as in the city centre, are participating in the meatless week to have a greater number of options available for participants during this week, as well as offering some special prices throughout the week. Check your options out!

If you prep your own meals, but don’t know where to start, sign up to receive a little digital booklet, lovingly put together by our volunteers, chock full of simple, delicious recipes, complete with tips so it all can easily fit within your budget.

Are you up for the challenge of a meatless week? Sign up, participate, link up with friends, family or housemates and share your experiences! #TiUmeatlessweek
