Department Marketing

Events Department of Marketing

Scholars and thought leaders from around the world exchange ideas with department members in an extensive seminar series and an annual research camp.

Seminars

Our seminar series (outside job market recruiting) hosts a seminar every 2-3 weeks. The department further hosts a monthly brown bag seminar series, where early research ideas and working papers of faculty members are being discussed. Website Marketing Seminars.

Camps

For more than 25 years, the Tilburg Marketing Department has been organizing an annual invitation-only Christmas Research Camp. It attracts high-caliber scholars for a day of 4-5 research presentations, followed by drinks and dinner at the lovely Auberge Du Bonheur on the edge of the Oude Warande forest.

In June, the department organizes an annual internal camp for masters and Ph.D. students to present their work, along with an informal dinner.

Other activities

  • Researchers interested in Consumer Behavior have a biweekly meeting, where research (our own or that of others) is discussed.
  • Structural Econometrics Group: The Structural Econometrics Group is an informal initiative by Tilburg economists with interests in structural econometrics and computational economics; and their empirical applications to industrial organization, marketing, household economics, and labor economics. It currently involves faculty and students from the Econometrics (EOR), Economics (ECO), Marketing (MKT), and Finance (FIN) departments.
