Privacy policy TILTing Perspectives

Generally speaking, we only process data of individuals who have a direct relationship with the TILTing conference: participants. When you submit to our call for panels or call for papers or register for the conference, TILT collects personal data (name, affiliation, email address etc). TILT relies on its legitimate interests to process this data in relation to administrative and organizational issues relating to TILTing 2021.

For instance, we process your name, contact information and affiliation to notify you of the acceptance of your submission. We process your contact information to provide you with information on how to join the online conference sessions and to enable you to join the online conference. We will use your registration information to contact you after the conference to ask for your feedback about the conference. We will also process your name and contact data to issue a certificate of participation, should you request one.

Your name, email address and other data necessary to facilitate the video conferencing during the online event will be processed by Spectrum Live which is a company providing technical facilities to run TILTing online. This company acts as a processor.

We do not disclose this data to third parties. We do not send e-mails or otherwise initiate communications unless the recipient has expressed an interest in receiving them or has otherwise explicitly consented. If you wish to remove your email address, please send an e-mail to tilting@tilburguniversity.edu

The data is stored for as long as necessary to organize and run the online conference. The data will be deleted one month after the conference ends.

In addition to this policy, as an entity of Tilburg University located in The Netherlands, we also comply with all policies of Tilburg University and with Dutch law.

Connected services

The TILTing website uses cookies to operate and secure our services. The TILTing website and social media requires the use of third party service providers (such as Google-maps, Twitter,...). TILTing has no control over these tools and services and the data collected by them.

Changes

You have a right to lodge a complaint before a Data Protection Authority.

You have a right to request access your personal data and ask for their correction, deletion or restriction of processing, as well as request a copy of your data.
