Dutch experiment with facial recognition: privacy risks require legislative choices
21st April 2020A smart doorbell with facial recognition; registering with your face rather than with an entry ticket; and now perhaps using facial recognition to identify individuals who have been into contact with Covid-19 patients? Facial recognition has serious implications for our privacy. The legislator can limit those risks, but will need to make legislative choices for that purpose.

01st April 2020TILT has a vacancy for a Postdoctoral Researcher who can make a vital contribution to both research and education in the fields covered by the European Commission's Digital Single Market Strategy. The successful applicant will contribute to the research on commissioned projects, writing research proposals, contribute to teaching privacy and data protection courses in the Tilburg Law School and in the Data Science programs in which TILT is involved in and supervising master thesis students.
