SmartUrbi research nears completion
Over the past 2,5 years, a research consortium of over 20 organizations in six countries studied and discussed the work of ‘smart urban intermediaries’. Mark van Ostaijen (research in Amsterdam) en Merlijn van Hulst (overall project leader) represented the Tilburg Institute of Governance / TLS department Public Law & Governance in this SmartUrbI research.

PhD candidate Anna Berti Suman investigates the use of citizen sensing in environmental law and governance. But she also aims to design a toolkit to support citizens and policy makers using environmental data gathered by citizens.
Book launch: Portraits of Injustice
In order to show the impact of international crimes on victims, the International Victimology Institute Tilburg (INTERVICT) of Tilburg University will present the photo book 'Portraits of Injustice: Forced marriage and related sexual violence under the Khmer Rouge' on September 24th, 2019. The photo book portrays twelve victims of forced marriage under the Khmer Rouge in words and pictures.
