Sanneke de Haan appointed as endowed professor in Rotterdam
Dr. Sanneke de Haan of the Department of Culture Studies was appointed as an endowed professor of psychiatry and philosophy at the Erasmus School of Philosophy and the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam on January 1st. The chair is made possible by the Foundation for Psychiatry and Philosophy, the Socrates Foundation and the Erasmus School of Philosophy.
The chair of Psychiatry and Philosophy focuses on the border area of psychiatry and philosophy, where important debates take place, such as between psychiatry as a scientific discipline and the social and cultural context of people and patients.
