Master Seminars in Philosophy

Each year, the MA Philosophy offers a number of extra-curricular activities. The master seminar series is one of them.

The master seminars give master students the opportunity to get acquainted with subjects not treated in the courses of their specific master program. This may give insight in other styles of doing philosophy, in the way philosophy functions in the sciences, and in ways in which philosophy can be helpful to businesses and governments.

Besides this, the seminars offer students the chance to get to know both each other and the staff more personally. As much as possible, themes and speakers are chosen which should interest students from all master tracks. All master students are supposed to participate in the meetings of this seminar. Bachelors and pre-master students in philosophy and anyone else interested are welcome to attend as well.
