Research activities of the academic staff of the School are embedded within the Research Institute of Humanities and Digital Sciences. The research is organized in research programs. Within the research programs, different programs and projects can be distinguished.
The Graduate School is part of the Research Institute of Humanities and Digital Sciences. The Graduate School takes care of all the activities related to the training of scientific researchers. It provides both MPhil and PhD programs.

Research Advisory Board
The Research Advisory Board (FOZ) consists of the TSHD program leaders and directors of research centers. A number of times a year the FOZ confers with the Vice-Dean of Research regarding issues concerning research. In this manner, the FOZ supports the Vice-Dean in developing and implementing the Tilburg School of Humanities and Digital Sciences’ research policy.

Program Directors
The program directors lead the implementation of the research programs. Among their tasks is the development and the implementation of the research program, construct the research group, monitor the progress and supervision of PhD candidates, the spending the financial resources, and the acquisition of direct and indirect funding.
