Profile University College Tilburg
Society needs multi-disciplinary thinkers: people who address complex problems with an open mind. To that end, University College Tilburg offers the English-taught program of Liberal Arts and Sciences for national and international students.
European history, rhetoric, cultural developments, police, topical social issues, philosophy, and ethics are important subjects during the first, common year of the program.
Students subsequently choose one of five majors: Social Sciences, Business and Management, Law in Europe, European History and Culture, or Cognitive Neuroscience.
All courses were designed especially for Liberal Arts and Sciences students according to our own educational approach. Students develop into critical thinkers by debating about global issues from the perspectives of various disciplines.
Innovative teaching methods
Students are taught by means of such innovative methods as team teaching, online learning, and virtual lectures. All Schools at Tilburg University provide teachers for the program. Students have much freedom in choosing courses for their minor. Many of our students opt to do a minor at one of our many international partner universities.
Access to international Masters
Because of the carefully balanced curriculum of the program, students who want to continue their studies after graduating from the Tilburg Liberal Arts and Sciences program can choose from dozens of specialist Master’s programs at prestigious universities both in the Netherlands and abroad.
