Archive - Workshop Corporate Governance & Long-term Value Creation

Date: Time: 15:00 Location: Online via Zoom (link after registration)

In this workshop, professor Lückerath challenges you to think along with her about how company boards can focus on long-term value creation instead of shareholdervalue during and in the aftermath of the corona crisis. (language English)

Time: 15:00-16:00 hrs.
Admission is free, but registration is required.

Mijntje Lückerath is professor in Corporate Governance at Tilburg University / TIAS, School for Business and Society. Lückerath calls the coronacrisis a litmus test. Do companies adhere to their mission and core values when the going gets tough or do they try to transfer responsibilities, for instance by shifting internal problems to external suppliers or to the government? Has long-term value creation actually made its way into the boardroom of companies, or have the fine words turned out to be a meagre promise? Mijntje Lückerath will address both economic and social aspects of value creation.
