From smart farms to smart cities

Workshop: To smart farmers it is obvious and unavoidable that crops and livestock should be connected to the cloud and managed on the basis of gathered data. But do we, the general public, allow ourselves to be micro-managed by a government with help of smart technologies?

In China, for instance, the government has been working on the development of a Social Credit System, which makes it possible to shape citizens’ behavior. This experimental session will call into question the distinction between the smart farm and the smart city.
