SG Culture

Culture stimulates the imagination, it surprises, inspires, sparks emotions, it comforts and chafes, exposes, brings back memories, adds depth, and sets you thinking. In sum, culture, too, builds character. In addition, culture relaxes and stimulates wellbeing, it interrupts the daily rush and routines. Culture also connects people by providing joint experiences and contributes to the sense of community at Tilburg University.

Culture on Campus

Studium Generale caters to your natural curiosity with a broad program of cultural events, for instance, the Open Air Cinema on late summer evenings and the monthly film nights a the auditorium. Or the monthly concerts in the Black Box with talents from the world of classical music. And especially for students and staff, Studium Generale regularly organizes an Open Mic Night. For these and many more other events, check out our events program or subscribe to the Studium Generale newsletter.

Cultural courses

In collaboration with cultural partners in the city, Studium Generale occasionally offers courses or workshops, so that you can actively engage in culture yourself under professional guidance and develop yourself in exciting ways. For instance, in the fall of 2023, a short acting course will be offered, called ‘About acting’.
