Expo Lustwarande

Since 2000, Lustwarande has invited internationally renowned artists and young talents. Ten contemporary artists are now exploring the theme ’Godhead’ with figurative and abstract sculptures:

Alma Allen (USA); Evgeny Antufiev (RU); Marieke Bolhuis (NL); Gisela Colón (CN); Kim Dacres (USA); Hans Josephsohn (CH); Susanne Ring (DE); Lukas Schmenger (DE); Henk Visch (NL); en Not Vital (CH).

Godhead – Idols in Times of Crisis

The idea for the park exhibition ‘Godhead – Idols in Times of Crisis’ came about as a reflection on current events. Now that statues of historically dubious figures are being pulled from their pedestals in the wake of demonstrations against racism in the U.S. and Europe, a renewed reflection and rethinking of the concept of an idol, in the broad sense, is needed. The new iconoclasm shows that images of idols can be part of social shifts.
