“Sometimes it is the people whom no one imagines anything of who do the things that no one can imagine.”

During World War II, mathematical genius and AI pioneer Alan Turing works for the British intelligence agency. He tries to crack the German Enigma code, which cryptanalysts think unbreakable. Turing's team analyze Enigma messages while he builds a machine – funded by Winston Churchill - to decipher them.

The Imitation Game is a celebration of Turing’s extraordinary achievements. However, his contribution to the Allied victory of World War II, could not prevent that he was convicted for “gross indecency” when his homosexuality was revealed during an investigation.

“A superb thriller”

"One of the most important stories of the last century is one of the greatest movies.”
