In business with your loved ones
NIGHT TALK - What is it like to run a business with your loved ones? Family interests sometimes result in ‘curious’ business decisions. Family entrepreneurs and researchers get into talk. (language: Dutch)
What is it like to run a business with your life partner? With your children? With several generations and other relatives? When people related by blood are in business together, rational business interests must somehow be reconciled with the business partners’ mutual care for each other as family members. Family interests sometimes result in ‘curious’ business decisions. The Tilburg Institute for Family Businesses hosts a panel discussion in which family entrepreneurs engage with relationship scientists about working with your loved ones and about how such temptations as love, care, distrust, or envy can impact business decisions. Visitors are invited to contribute to the discussion. Is there a formula for making a success of the business you run with your loved ones?
