Survival of the fittest: how do you react to danger?

Date: Time: 19:00 Location: CUBE 21

This year's demo of GO-Lab (the behavioral physiological research lab) of Medical & Clinical Psychology is all about fear and survival. How easily you can become anxious about something, and how you can get rid of it. In the game “Beware of the dangerous snake!” you must first discover which (digital) snake is dangerous and which can bite you, and which snake is safe. Once you know that, you can also learn to avoid the dangerous snake biting you… Then we use Virtual Reality (VR) to overcome fear. We will show how we use a VR application in a study to tackle avoidance behavior. Do you want to know what that looks like? Then you are welcome to try out the VR glasses!
