Opening study places

The study places can be reserved through LibCal the reservation system. The maximum group size of 75 persons applies in the Library. This means that 75 students per floor are able to use a study place. 

Opening hours library

The library is open Monday to Friday between 8:00 - 24:00 hrs, in the weekend the library is open between 10:00 - 24:00 hrs.

Library access policy

The library access policy has been revised since the reopening of the library. The Executive board have made the following decisions:

  • The entrance gates will be open on weekdays between 8:00 - 17:00 hrs. 
  • During examination periods, on weekends and on weekdays after 17:00 hrs the gates will remain closed and access is only possible for visitors with a Tilburg University card. The paper day passes will not be issued anymore.

Adjustment of some house rules

On level 1 (study café) coffee/tea can be consumed everywhere. On level 2, only water in a  sealed bottle is allowed.

Eating is only allowed in the study café. For salads, wraps, sandwiches etc. there is a new snack machine available. There are no microwaves in the library, due to fire hazard.

Library services:

  • Issuance of new university cards
  • Collection and return of books and journals
  • Collection and return of AV materials
  • Books borrowed from other libraries, can be returned at the library service desk.
  • Whilst our collection is not yet available, reservation of books is only possible if they are on loan or are stored in the  repositories

Library/Brabant Collection

N.B. Temporarily special materials/works older than 1901 from the Brabant Collection can only be viewed in the reading room by appointment.

The Information Point of the Brabant Collection is open from Monday to Friday between 09:00 - 17:00 hrs (during library opening hours).

For the consultation of special materials/works older than 1901, the reading room is open from Monday to Friday between 09:00 - 17:00 hrs (during the opening hours of the Brabant Collection).
