Lactation room Dante Building

D 02 (locker rooms behind lecture halls DZ 1 and DZ 2)

The D 02 locker room in the basement of Dante also serves as a lactation room. To access the basement from outside Dante Building, use the ramp on the Hogeschoollaan side. This basement can be accessed with a Tilburg University card. 

The first door on the left is the lactation room D 02. This room is freely accessible but can be locked from the inside while used for expressing milk. A comfortable chair is provided in this room.

The procedures for using the locker room in Dante Building are as follows:

Are you an employee?

• Prior to the lactation period in which the facility will be used, employees should inform Safety & Security, so they can authorize the relevant employee’s Tilburg University card for this room during the lactation period.  Location Safety & Security: Vigilant Building. Telephone: 013-466 3000, alternate number 013-466 8300. You can also send an e-mail to security. In the email, please provide the card number of your Tilburg University card.
• Then the employee herself can reserve the lactation room at the desired time. Check the availability on the Outlook Calendar (Location = D 02 Lactation room) and reserve the desired time of expressing milk.

Are you a student?

• Prior to the period in which the facility will be used, the student should inform Safety & Security, so it can authorize the relevant student’s Tilburg University card for this room during the lactation period. Location Safety & Security: Vigilant Building. Telephone: 013-466 3000, alternate number 013-466 8300. You can also send an e-mail to security. In the email, please provide the card number of your Tilburg University card.
• Prior to the lactation period, visit Safety & Security (Vigilant building). Safety & Security will check the electronic calendar (Outlook) to see if the desired lactation room is already being used by more students or staff as a lactation room. Then, a reservation will be made for the student in this agenda by Safety & Security.

After the lactation period

The student or employee informs the Safety & Security that the lactation period is completed and authorization on the Tilburg University card is lifted.

D 263 (also rest room with a bed)

Lactation room D 263 is located on the second floor of Dante. This room has a comfortable chair and is equipped with a refrigerator and running water. The room can be locked from the inside. This room is also a rest room and is therefore equipped with a bed.

The procedures for using lactation room D 263 are as follows:

Are you an employee?

• Prior to the lactation period, there is a possibility of temporary key access to the lactation room via the Traka cabinet, see Access Buildings and Areas | Tilburg University, Key Management | Tilburg University (request authorization TRAKA cabinet). 
• Then the employee herself can reserve the lactation room at the desired time. Through the outlook calendar, you can see what time is free (Location = D 263 health room) and then reserve the desired time of pumping.

Are you a student?

Safety & Security will check the electronic calendar (Outlook) to see if the desired lactation room is already being used by more students or staff as a lactation room. After the lactation period

The student or employee notifies the Safety & Security that the lactation period is completed and authorization on the Traka cabinet is lifted.
