Montesquieu Building

Montesquieu building

In 2005, the Montesquieu Building was opened, by State Secretary Rutte - later Prime Minister.

Montesquieu Building

The building was designed for Tias Business School, but because—among other things—no operator was found for the desired hotel facilities, the complex went to the Law School for which Dante Building had become too small,

The building was designed by architect Stefan Ritzen and has ten floors. The ground floor houses an E-learning center, with three rooms where students can work with computers in groups and an open area where 80 high-speed machines are set up. On the floors, there are over 280 offices and several meeting rooms, three of which are on the top floor. On the top floor, you can find a number of artworks by Anna Thalia Benus, featuring a contemporary depiction of Montesquieu's trias politica. In the lobby, you can find a classical bust of the French thinker, which was donated by the contractor.
