Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2021-2027

Tilburg University is pleased to have been awarded a new Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) for the period 2021-2027. Obtaining an ECHE is a prerequisite to participation in the Erasmus program, which includes: student and staff mobility and cooperation for innovation and good practices.

By signing the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education, Tilburg University confirms its commitment to uphold the fundamental principles of the Erasmus+ program and to contribute to the goals of a European Education Area, such as: making mobility possible for all, removing obstacles to recognition of qualifications within Europe, modernization and innovation in education, promoting language learning, creating high-quality European Universities, promoting lifelong learning, and fostering a European identity.

Quality criteria

Tilburg University will continue to work towards implementation of several quality criteria, such as the automatic recognition of academic work completed while on exchange, nondiscrimination, transparency, and preparation and support for students and staff participating in Erasmus+ projects . We further commit to making advancements in inclusion, civic engagement, sustainability and digitalization in all our European cooperation activities.
