1st Annual Meeting on the European Certificate for Intercultural Learning Professionals (ECILP)

Date: Time: 10:00 Location: DZ1

Tilburg University, March 7, 2023, 10:00 to 18:00

Conference Topic

The European Certificate for Intercultural Learning Professionals (ECILP) aims to enable recognition, transparency and comparability of qualifications and learning outcomes of IC (intercultural) service providers (i.e., IC trainers, advisors and coaches) through developing and establishing a framework of binding professional standards, regulations for the accreditation process and a self-assessment tool for IC providers.

In the conference, the framework and the road to its development will be shared. Participants can contribute to considerations about the future of the intercultural learning profession, and will also be able to get a sneak peek at the assessment centre and provide feedback on how it works.

The purpose of ECILP is to offer transparent, evidence-based, comprehensible and reliable guidelines for decision-making to clients, learners, IC service providers and institutions offering intercultural training qualifications. The regulations and self-assessment tool will provide information about the level of current qualification and guidance for achieving accreditation.

The project is funded by the European Union (Erasmus KA2, # 2020-1-DE02-KA202-007583).
