Global Sustainable Leadership event

On May 12, Tilburg University, in cooperation with Asset | International Business & Management, will organize the Global Sustainable Leadership event.

In this series, we open the debate between students and global leaders to discuss how global enterprises, governments, and NGOs can contribute to achieving the 17 international Sustainable Development Goals adopted by all United Nations Member States. This edition will go into detail on the how; what can we as society and students do? What is the role of corporate enterprises and their leaders in operationalizing the SDGs? And most importantly, how are we going to do it?

  • Feike Sijbesma: former CEO at DSM, Member of the Board of Trustees at the World Economic Forum (WEF), Co-chair at the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA), Senior Advisor at the African Improved Foods initiative, Climate Leader at the World Bank, Advisor to the International Monetary government, and 
  • Jan Fransoo: Professor in Operations and Logistics Management, Author, and advisor to the RIVM on optimizing the logistics of the COVID vaccinations in the Netherlands, present as key-note speakers.
    During this session, they will share their thoughts on “Sustainable Leadership” and creating “The New Common”.
  • Ronald de Jong: Distinguished Professor of Practice at Tilburg University, and former member of the executive board at Philips, and
  • Jorna Leenheer: Academic Director BSc. International Business Administration, will moderate the debate.
