Research conference Tilburg Center of the Learning Sciences (TiCeLS)
Tilburg Center of the Learning Sciences (TiCeLS) organizes a research conference dedicated to research on education and didactics around the themes Conscious Literacy, Learning and Digitalization, Citizenship and Identity and Teacher Development.
The conference will bring together education researchers across many disciplines. Teachers and professionals from the field of (secundary and/or higher) education are cordially invited to attend as well.
The conference starts with a keynote lecture by prof. dr. Sander Bax (Tilburg University). After that, the conference has three rounds of research presentations per theme. All presentations will be in English.
Among the speakers are researchers from Tilburg University as well as researchers from other Dutch institutions for higher education, including (per theme):
- Conscious Literacy: Jimmy van Rijt (Tilburg University) and Linda Gijsen (Utrecht University)
- Learning and Digitalization: Inge van de Ven & Siebe Bluijs (Tilburg University), Rianne Conijn (Eindhoven University of Technology) and Jan de Wit (Tilburg University)
- Citizenship and Identity: Inge sieben & Tim Reeskens (Tilburg University), Isolde de Groot (Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences) and Remmert Daas (University of Amsterdam)
- Teacher Development: Rian Aarts (Tilburg University), Quinta Kools (Fontys University of Applied Sciences), Harmen Schaap (Radboud University)
