Towards equality between m/f in football, says Tilburg professor of Philosophy and former professional footballer Martine Prange.

Women's football is on the rise. The Dutch national team is hot. But there is still no equality between men and women. That must change, argues Martine Prange, Tilburg professor of Philosophy and former professional footballer in the Volkskrant on the eve of the World Cup in France. Three arguments: there must be equal pay for equal work, equal payment also expresses appreciation and it is time to undo this 'historical injustice'.

The tournament starts on Friday, June 7 and lasts for a month. The Dutch national team will play its first match on Tuesday 11 June against New Zealand. In the ranks also Jackie Groenen. She is studying Dutch Law at Tilburg University, using the special university top sport program.
