Many companies will not survive a third Covid wave
In a third Covid wave, more and more companies will get in trouble for longer and may collapse. If billions are needed again, there may be a limit to this support, according to tax economist Ed Westerhout in Univers.
Main challenges for the future, Westerhout says, are climate change, the division in the labor market, the tax system, and wealth inequality.
The state has already spent tens of billions of euros on corona aid packages and the end of the pandemic is nowhere in sight.
