Royal honor awarded to Professor Emeritus Sylvester Eijffinger

On Wednesday, July 12, Sylvester Eijffinger was made an Officer in the Order of Orange-Nassau in his home town of Oisterwijk. Mayor Hans Janssen conferred this royal honor on him.
Eijffinger was affiliated to Tilburg University until 2021 and is a leading scholar, highly regarded nationally and internationally with a large network in local and national politics. With this specialism in macro-economics and international banking, he has had an important impact and he has been of great service to the university.
