Tilburg University appoints Louis Mulotte Professor of Strategy & Organization

The Executive Board of Tilburg University has appointed Louis Mulotte of the Tilburg School of Economics and Management (TiSEM) as Full Professor of Strategy & Organization, effective January 1, 2023.

His research lies on the intersection of the Corporate Strategy, Innovation, and Organizational Learning fields. He is using the latest econometric techniques to develop an understanding of how firms can maximize their long-term performance (including innovation output) by following the optimal sequence of corporate scope decisions (internal growth, corporate acquisitions, strategic alliances, divestitures, etc.). The distinctiveness of his research program is that he uses an historical lens and examine how a firm’s current choices are influenced by the choices made in the past.

Louis Mulotte

Louis Mulotte has taught a variety of courses in strategy and management in the Bachelor of International Business Administration, the Master in Strategic Management, and the Research Master in Business. He also is the Academic Director of the Master in International Management.

Louis Mulotte (1975) has a Master in European Management from ESCP Business School, a Research Master in Strategy & Economics from Université Paris-Dauphine, and a PhD in Strategic Management from HEC Paris. He joined Tilburg University in 2007 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2013. His research has been presented in a large variety of invited seminars, academic conferences, and practitioner workshops all around the globe. His academic work has appeared in numerous academic journals, including the Strategic Management Journal and Organization Science. He also sits on the Editorial Review Boards of the Strategic Management Journal, Academy of Management Journal, and Academy of Management Discoveries, the world’s leading academic journals in Strategy.

His inaugural lecture will be on October 27.
