Tilburg University is back in the top 50 in Law, Business & Economics, and Psychology – THE Ranking 2021

Tilburg University belongs to the best universities in the world for three main academic fields: Law, Business & Economics, and Psychology according to the Times Higher Education 2021 rankings. Last year, Tilburg University fell just outside the top 50 for Psychology (51) and Law (52). This year, we are ranked at place 50 worldwide in Psychology. Within Law, Tilburg University moves up from 52nd to 28th place due to improvements in teaching, research, and citation scores.

Tilburg University maintains its top 50 position when it comes to Business & Economics, according to the same subject ranking, rated as #37 in the world out of more than 500 universities compared. This is a small decrease compared to 33rd position past year.

In addition, Tilburg University is ranked in the top 125 in Social Sciences and Arts & Humanities, and top 250 in Educational Sciences worldwide. Tilburg University was ranked in the field of Computer Science for the first time last year and improves her position from the top 600 to the top 500 worldwide in the 2021 rankings.

Times Higher Education (THE) annually publishes one of the most influential international university rankings, comparing more than 1,250 universities worldwide. In addition to the World University Ranking (WUR), THE presents lists of the world’s best universities in specific subjects. The rankings are based on the teaching environment, research environment, citation impact, knowledge transfer, and international outlook.
