Anne Lafarre nominated New Scientist 2018 Talent of the Netherlands and Flanders

Dr. Anne Lafarre of Tilburg Law School has been nominated for the title of New Scientist Talent 2018 of the Netherlands and Flanders by the magazine New Scientist. Everybody can vote in this competition so please feel invited to cast yours as well between 24 April and 6 May.

This year the eighteen Dutch and Flemish universities have nominated their scientific talents, as well as other knowledge institutions. New Scientist selected 25 candidates for the final round including Anne Lafarre.

Business law expert Anne Lafarre (1989) specializes in the relevance and effectiveness of Annual General Meetings of Shareholders (AGM). She looks into how these meetings can be improved, for instance by voting through blockchain technology. Her PhD research at the Department of Business Law has already shown that on average only eight shareholders pose questions during an AGM.

The winner of the New Scientist Talent Award 2018 will be announced on May 31st in Utrecht at the event New Scientist Live in TivoliVredenburg.

Please join us in voting for Anne!
