NWA Funding for Six Impact Program Projects to Improve Youth Resilience

Published: 01st March 2019 Last updated: 17th April 2019

Six projects, coordinated by the Tilburg University Impact Program and aimed to improve youth resilience, have been granted incentive funding (Startimpuls) in the first round of applications for the Dutch National Research Agenda (NWA). The JOIN theme program – ‘youngsters in a resilient society’ – develops and tests new instruments that strengthen the participation of (vulnerable) youngsters in society, thereby making society more resilient.

One of these six projects focuses on disabled youngsters, labor force participation, and inclusive organizations. This is a project lead by Dr. Charissa Freese, representing the department of Human Resource Studies of Tilburg University, Dr. Rik van Berkel and others, representing the Utrecht University School of Governance, Dr. Irmgard Borghouts from ReflecT (the Research Institute for Flexicurity, Labor Market Dynamics and Social Cohesion within Tilburg University), and employers’ and implementation organizations in Utrecht and North Brabant.
