Jaap Paauwe in NRC article
September 3rd, an NRC article appeared for which Jaap was interviewed about boomerang employees: people who, after leaving the company, return to their old employer.
Jaap was quoted in the article, stating that employers should not interpret the fact that the employee went on to work elsewhere as something negative, but as an enriching experience. He therefore suggests that employers can actively contact these people, but that they have to be critical with regards to the reason why someone left and what their motivation could be to return. In order to prevent resistance, Jaap advises companies to frame the return in a positive way. Click here to read the full article (in Dutch).
