Press release, 15 november 2016

Five Tilburg University Bachelor’s programs have been assessed as the best in their field in the rankings of the Keuzegids Universiteiten 2017, in which the quality of the Dutch academic Bachelor’s programs is compared. Among the thirteen Dutch research universities, Tilburg University now occupies a shared third position in the ranking of best Bachelor’s programs. In the 2016 edition, this was also the case; in 2015 we were sixth and in 2014 in ninth position.

Overall, Tilburg University scores 63 points, which is a little lower than last year (64) and the same as the 2015 score. The national average across all universities is 61.6, so Tilburg University clearly scores above this national average. With 74.5 points, Wageningen University is the best-scoring university in this year’s Keuzegids.

Liberal Arts & Sciences and Economics are top programs

With a total score of 88, the Liberal Arts & Sciences Bachelor (University College Tilburg) belongs to the top of Dutch academic education. The same holds for the Bachelor of Economics, with a total score of 82. As in previous years, these programs were awarded the ‘top program’ quality label.

Five Bachelors best in their field

In total, five of the nineteen Tilburg University Bachelors that were assessed scored a number 1 position in the rankings in their field. They are the Bachelor’s programs of Communication & Information Sciences, Fiscale Economie, Economics, International Business Administration, and Global Law.
