#5 worldwide in Business Administration – Shanghai Ranking 2019
Tilburg University maintains its position among the best universities in the world for Business Administration (5), Finance (12), and Management (27). In addition, we have reached our highest ranking yet for Law, Psychology, Sociology, and Public Administration (51-75 range). We are proud of the contributions all our academics are making by conducting relevant and important research and incorporating this in their courses.
The Shanghai Ranking is generally seen as one of the most influential rankings based on Research output. Universities are evaluated on the number of publications, citation impact, international collaboration, and publications in TOP journals.
In the field of Business Administration we move up from 6th to 5th place. We are steady at number 12 in the world in Finance, but move up from 3rd to 2nd in Europe. In the field of Management, we move up 5 places and are now ranked at 27, which is the number 5 position in Europe. We have experienced somewhat of a drop in Economics and are now in the 51-75 range.
In other fields, we have made major strides forward: in Law and Sociology we have moved up from the 101-150 range into the top 75. Also for Psychology, we are ranked in the top 75 for the first time. Public Administration remains in the 51-75 range.
