Male and female stereotypes may have a negative impact on business performance
It is often assumed that organizations consisting of men and women perform better than organizations with only men or women. In reality it is different. New research by Hans van Dijk and Marloes van Engen (Tilburg University) shows that assumptions and stereotypes about men and women could have negative impact on the performance of organizations. Removing prejudices with Human Library initiatives might be a solution.
Their research has been published on the leading platform Frontiers in Psychology entitled 'The Flywheel Effect of Gender Role Expectations in Diverse Work Groups'. More information in our Dutch press release.
