Tilburg University rises to third position in Elsevier’s best universities ranking
Press Release 29-9-2016 - In Elsevier ranking of best Dutch universities, Tilburg University is now in third position among the thirteen Dutch universities, based on the satisfaction of Bachelor’s students. Last year, we ranked fifth. The students have also ranked four Bachelor’s and six Master’s programs at Tilburg University as the best of their kind.
In Elsevier Beste Studies 2016, Elsevier weekly magazine compares a large number of degree programs in Dutch higher education. This year’s ranking is the first to be completely based on student assessments from the National Student Survey (NSE). Until 2015, the ranking was also based on professors’ assessments.
The four Bachelors with a #1 position are Liberal Arts and Sciences, Economics, Fiscal Economics, and International Business Administration (tied first place). The Masters in #1 position include the programs of Strategic Management, Business Law, Law, International and European Law, International Management, and International Business Law. According to the students, Tilburg University ranks second in the list of best specialist universities and third in the total ranking of all Dutch universities.
Rector Magnificus Emile Aarts: “Tilburg University has performed well in the top of best universities for many years and we have achieved a higher ranking again this year. We are in constant consultation with our researchers and students to enhance our teaching and our efforts are paying off.’
