Published: 28th September 2017 Last updated: 01st May 2019

PRESS RELEASE 28 September 2017 - In Elsevier Best Studies ranking of best Dutch universities that was published today, Tilburg University is in third position among the 13 Dutch universities (based on the satisfaction of Bachelor’s students), just like last year. In 2015, we were ranked 5th. Students have also ranked six Bachelor’s and seven Master’s programs as the best of their kind.

In Elsevier Beste Studies 2017, Elsevier weekly magazine compares a large number of degree programs in Dutch higher education. The ranking is based on student assessments from the National Student Survey (NSE) 2017, supplemented with practical information on binding study advice, student population, academic success rate, and – new this year – possibilities for studying abroad.

The six Bachelor’s programs with a #1 position are: Communication and Information Sciences, Economics, Fiscal Economics, International Business Administration, Psychology, and Online Culture. The Masters in #1 position include the programs of Strategic Management, Fiscal Economics, Marketing Management, International and European Law, International Management, International Business Law, and Philosophy. According to the students, Tilburg University ranks second in the list of best specialist universities and third in the total ranking of all Dutch universities.

Rector Magnificus Emile Aarts: ‘Tilburg University has maintained a solid position in the top of the best universities. We are in constant consultation with our researchers and students to enhance our teaching and the effects are reflected by the results.’
