PRESS RELEASE 30. October 2017 -
Dr. S. Hollander (1974) was appointed Professor of Financial Accounting on October 1 at the Tilburg School of Economics and Management (TiSEM) of Tilburg University.

About the Chair

As a professor, Hollander focuses on the role corporate communication plays in capital markets functioning efficiently, and on how regulatory and legislative changes and technological developments influence firms’ information environments. As a result of increased pressure from stockholders, either or not laid down in (revised) laws and regulations, and made possible thanks to technological advances, listed companies today disclose more company information and do so more quickly than ever before, and in a way that is accessible to a larger group of stakeholders than ever before. Teaching and research of the chair are concentrated on the economic consequences of changing disclosure practices.

About Stephan Hollander

Stephan Hollander is affiliated to the TiSEM Accountancy department. He received his PhD from this university (cum laude) in 2007. Hollander has published articles in leading scientific journals (Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Financial Economics).
