Three Tilburg scientists nominated for the 2019 'New Scientist' Scientific Talent Award
Tilburg scientists Hannes Datta, Bart van der Sloot, and Gerine Lodder have been nominated for the 2019 'New Scientist' Scientific Talent Award.
They have been selected by a professional jury from a large number of candidates proposed by Dutch and Flemish universities. In total, 25 nominees vying for the title of ‘Greatest Scientific Talent from the Netherlands and Flanders’.
The winner will be announced on May 31.

Bart van der Sloot (Tilburg Law School): Digital Privacy
Gerine Lodder (Tilburg School of Social and Behavioral Sciences): Loneliness in Youth
The public vote and the opinion of the jury each account for 50% of the total vote. The winner will be announced at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht on May 31, during the New Scientist Live festival.
The award offers young scientists an opportunity to present their research to the general public.
