The latest edition of Tilburg University Magazine, titled 'Climate change: Work in progress', focuses on the societal impact of climate change. Brabant meets Europe at the second "kathedralenbouwersbijeenkomst" in Den Bosch
24th April 2024Held at the Cathedral Basilica, this event, spearheaded by Tilburg University, TU/E, and VNO-NCW Brabant, featured inspiring talks by Minister of Social Affairs and Employment, Karien van Gennip, and Robert-Jan Smits. Their speeches, complemented by a musical interlude from trumpeter Eric Vloeimans, touched on Brabant's heritage of entrepreneurship and community support.

Demonstration by Extinction Rebellion on Campus
23rd April 2024This morning, demonstrators from Extinction Rebellion and Scientist Rebellion protested on the campus against the presence of Shell and ING during the Economic Business Weeks Tilburg (EBT). During their protest, they painted texts on the glass walls of Cube and poured green paint over the university logo at the selfie spot and the elevator shaft of the library on the footbridge. These markings were made with washable paint and have largely been removed.

The Executive Board on the war between Israel and Hamas
The war between Israel and Hamas is heartbreaking and, understandably, continues to arouse emotions, also within our academic community. We are all deeply affected by the violent images and the harrowing stories. As the Executive Board, we fervently hope that all the violence and hate will end soon and that dialogue may result in solutions that will lead to lasting peace. We urge our colleagues and students to continue to be caring and connected and to treat each other with consideration and respect.
