What to expect?

When you are a student for day, you will experience what it is like to study at our university. Student for a day is different from an Open day, because you will follow one or more real lectures, and the day revolves around one particular program. This way you can get an idea of the themes that are covered within the program, and the way of teaching. Current students and professors are there to answer you questions, and give you an insight in life at Tilburg University. An excursion to the city of Tilburg is sometimes part of the day as well, so you can get to know the city.

Through experiencing a day as a student, you can determine whether the program meets your expectations.

A Student for a day-session is scheduled during the week and takes a day, so make sure to ask your school for permission to participate in time. The sessions are planned on fixed dates.

How to get here?

Plan your trip via Google Maps below.

  • If you want to make use of public transport, plan your trip via Tilburg University has it’s own train station, Tilburg Universiteit, 10 minutes walking distance from the campus.

  • Cars can be parked free of charge and without a time limit at or nearby Tilburg University. The largest parking lot is located on the Warandelaan; this is accessible via the Bredaseweg. Other parking spaces are located at the Hogeschoollaan and the Prof. dr. Verbernelaan. While there is sufficient parking, we still recommend allowing yourself some time after arrival to check in for the event and find your first session.

  • The nearest airport to Tilburg is Eindhoven Airport. Another option is to fly in to Schiphol airport or Brussels Airport. If you are coming straight from one of the airports, we recommend you use public transport. If you plan to take a taxi, keep in mind that taxis in the Netherlands can be quite expensive.
