Academic Pre-Bachelor application and admission

Guidance during the Language and Preparatory Program

In the Language and Preparatory Program, we pay a lot of attention to individual and classroom guidance of your study process, your choice of study program and your development into a successful student at a Dutch university.

Mentor

Throughout the Language and Preparatory Program, you receive guidance from a mentor. Your mentor is your first point of contact for all your questions and monitors your progress. The mentor also provides the weekly mentoring hour for all participants during the pre-Bachelor’s. During this session, many topics and skills that are important for your studies are discussed and trained: interview techniques, written communication, LinkedIn, computer use, cultural differences and similarities, etc.

Guidance for Choice of study program

It is important that you consider your options and wishes for your future study program during the Language and Preparatory Program. During the pre-Bachelor’s, you receive lessons about the study possibilities in the Netherlands, and you learn how to determine which study program is most suitable for you. The dean of students guides you in thinking about and making your choice of study program by giving assignments and by conversations.

Student mentor

Each participant of the pre-Bachelor’s year is paired with a Tilburg University student. This student can tell you everything about studying and student life in the Netherlands and Tilburg in particular.
